Oppo is another China phone manufacturer in Singapore. They are most significant in providing the Singapore consumers with great Camera Phones. Oppo supplies all sorts of phones ranging from their high-end Find series, the mid-range Reno series, and their budget-friendly A-series. All of which comes at different price points.
Oppo phone price in Singapore is lower compared to other flagships such as Apple and Samsung Singapore. But Oppo phones do deliver good cameras, healthy battery life, vibrant colors and designs, and much more which makes the brand actually loved by many for being both affordable and usable at the same time among the other brands.
Oppo’s latest mobile phone in Singapore is the Oppo Find series namely – Oppo Find X2 Pro. Oppo has always been known for its weird naming monikers. Putting that aside, the Find X2 Pro is Oppo’s most expensive mobile device among all the other mobile smartphone prices the company introduced. The Oppo Find X2 Pro’s hardware and price definitely makes it a high-end flagship mobile device.
As for a more budget-friendly choice, you may opt for the Oppo A9 2020 instead. The A9 2020 has a low price point and it comes with a good Quad camera setup and a huge battery to last you throughout the day.
More capable users may instead opt for the mid-range Reno series. The latest Reno series Oppo introduced is the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro which now is without the shark fin pop up camera which is present in its predecessor – the Oppo Reno 2.
As mentioned before, the Find series is Oppo’s most expensive and most high-end mobile phones you can purchase currently. The hardware on this device certainly allows it to compete with flagships of other brands but the price point it is coming at is a big deal-breaker.
The Oppo Find X2 Pro has a “Superman” level display. It comes with a 6.78-inch display that supports UltraHD display resolution, 10-bit colors, 120Hz refresh rate max, and its 800nits high brightness – doesn’t matter if you are gaming or consuming videos, the X2 Pro will guarantee you a fantastic look. The device also comes with Oppo’s O1 Ultra Vision Engine chipset that handles the upscaling of video content to 60 or 120fps to match the content you are watching. The 32MP wide selfie camera is located on the top left of the screen which uses the same “punch hole style” design as with a plethora of other 2020 flagships. Meanwhile, the rear camera array consists of a 48MP main shooter, a 13MP periscope telephoto snapper which provides up to 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom, and a whopping 48MP ultrawide shooter that comes with an Auto Macro mode. Its battery has a 4250mAh capacity – which is a normal standard for premium phones but it doesn’t seem to be enough to support the power chug from the 120Hz max refresh and the 5G. However, the Oppo Find X2 Pro does come with the company’s VOOC 65W charging capability to overcome the small shortcoming. The VOOC charging allows the device to go from 0% to a full charge within 30 minutes! The only setback on this mobile phones would be the high purchase price it comes with which makes it an Oppo new phone that is more expensive than iPhones. The purchase prices and the spec difference are incomparable.
Released in 2021, Oppo Find X3 Pro is one of Oppo’s premium devices and also it’s first Snapdragon 888 device.
The Find X3 Pro mostly picks up where the previous Find X2 Pro let off. Boasting powerful camera modules, 120Hz QHD+ OLED screen display, IP68 IP rating, super fast charging technology, and so on.
The Find X3 Pro is definitely not a cheap device, slotting itself in between Samsung S21 Plus and Samsung S21 Ultra, making it an expensive device with finicky premium features.
Oppo Find lineups has been around for quite awhile and known for being Oppo’s most premium devices.
The Find X5 Pro followed up from the X3 Pro and is packed with new and best in class features such as 80W SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless charging capability.
IT also packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, combined with 12GB of RAM, performance on the X5 Pro is smooth and fast be it for gaming or daily tasks.
The Hassleblad camera partnership with Oppo definitely took the Find X5’s photography game to another level. Besides that, Oppo is also debuting its in-house image signal processor – Marisilicon X.
The Oppo Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro released back in early 2022 is an affordable mid range phones with great camera and aesthetic design.
Both the Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro are honest mid-range mobile devices which is affordable and is known to have more qualities than flaws. Making them suitable phones for a lot of people.
Just like it’s predecessors before, Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro shines the most when it comes to camera. The Reno 7 has a triple camera module running on 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro shooter. Whereas the Reno 7 Pro has a Triple camera module running on 50MP main, 8MP ultra wide, and 2MP macro.
Overall performance for the Reno 7 lineups are not that great but it’s not bad. However, at the price range it is coming at, it will have a variety of competition especially from Google and Xiaomi.
Oppo usually updates its Reno lineups twice a year and Reno 8 lineups are introduced in late half of 2022.
Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro are powerful, affordable, and good-looking mobile phones. However, both phones are stuck in the mid-range category.
An obvious upgrade from the Reno 7 is that the Reno 8 lineups are now IP54 rated, whereas the Reno 7 does not have a IP rating.
Camera wise, both Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro will have a triple camera module with 50MP main, 8MP ultra wide, and 2MP macro shooter. This is similar to the Reno 7 Pro camera lineup, which is quite confusing.
It is pretty easy to find a new mobile smartphone that comes at an affordable price tag in Singapore. The are many brands in Singapore to serve the purpose and Oppo is one of the big brands that supply a low-mid range smartphone that combines good cameras and the latest technology with a relatively cheap price tag.
The Oppo A9 2020 is among the best-selling low-mid range smartphone in Singapore. The phone is jam-packed with a huge display, a huge battery, and quad-camera array on the back, and a budget chipset. The screen on the A9 2020 is a 6.5-inch with a 720+ resolution. The back is a whopping 5000mAh battery which will surely enable you to end your day with a healthy level of leftover power. However, there is no fast charging which is a huge setback. The phone needs at least two hours or more to get a full charge, but if you only charge overnight then it shouldn’t be an issue since you are leaving the phone to charge while you sleep. The selfie camera on this mobile device is a 16MP standard shooter and the rear quad-camera setup array consists of a 48MP wide shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP Mono shooter. Both the 2MP sensors seem to be included just to bulk up the specs table but it does come with a relatively low price point which other brands hardly reach in Singapore. It would be the best buy for people who want a great camera phone which has a low entry when it comes to its prices and mobile brand.
